About Laine Bachman
As a young child growing up in Middletown, Ohio, Laine Bachman always had an affinity towards drawing and painting. With supportive parents who recognized her talent, she was enrolled in many art classes and encouraged to be creative. She began taking adult classes in watercolor at the local arts center when she was 13 years old, and received honorable mention the same year in the student exhibition. Always wanting to learn more she continued her education through high school, taking more classes at Miami University in Middletown and the Art Academy in Cincinnati. Upon graduating, Laine attended the Columbus College of Art & Design and earned a BFA in painting in 1997.
She continues to show her work on a regular basis, and has garnered several awards for her watercolors throughout the years. Laine currently resides in Columbus, Ohio, with her loving husband and daughter. Though she is busy with her little girl, she still manages to set some time to create.
