Chris Faur's latest piece, "Skyline", is displayed in the front lobby at the new Hilton in downtown Columbus. Watch Faur assemble the giant image in this captivating time lapse video.

Time lapse video of an individual crayon work being created over the course of several days compressed into a 58 second film.

The video displayed here shows the installation of a large piece of work made between 2014 and 2015. The work is titled ‘Requisite Variety: Maturation,’ and measures in at around 1 m in width and height. The work took more than 3,000 hours to make, and it has helped artist Yong Joo Kim realize that before a surprisingly beautiful form is born, we are likely to encounter a moment of unpleasant surprise. She has come to refer to this moment as the chasm, which we must cross in order to transcend the limitation of our own imaginations.

Zemer Peled is acclaimed for her unconventional relation to porcelain, as well as her examinations of the beauty and brutality of the natural world. She utilizes a process of creation and destruction to make sculptures consisting of thousands of porcelain shards, resulting in works that can be read in relation to art historical tradition, outsider art and natural phenomena. In 2014, Peled was shortlisted for the #YoungMasters Maylis Grand Ceramics Prize. She is currently visiting artist in residence at California State University (CSULB).
